Mark is a former Director of Advocacy at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Mark is a graduate of the Leadership Denver Program and Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC’s) Regional Leadership Institute and has extensive background in independent living, NC, CO and GA. He is a founder of ADAPT.

Dan has been a long-time graphic designer and advocate for progressive, independent living opportunities and the collective struggle for acceptance,
value, dignity, and respect of all people, including people living with disabilities.
Sandy Hanebrink, OTR/L, CLP, FAOTA, PLY
Sandy is the Executive Director of Touch the Future Inc., the fiscal agent for the Caravan for Disability Rights & Freedom.  Sandy is a long-time disability rights advocate, occupational therapist, and Paralympian.  She specializes in creating systems change, improving access to recreation, employment, and assistive technology.  She currently serves on the IBC’s ANSI 117.1 Advisory Board, the United Nations, G3ict NeuroAbilities Advisory Committee, and Chairs the Network of Occupational Therapy Practitioners with Disabilities & Supporters.
Marilee Adamski-Smith, Director of Logistics & Special Projects
Marilee is a Graphic Designer with over 20+ years of experience and the proud owner of Adamski-Smith Multimedia Solutions. Having a degree in Graphic Design and a Minor in Advertising, she is excited to collaborate with the Disability Freedom and Justice Caravan Team. With the diverse experiences that have shaped her into the person she is today, her journey into disability advocacy began with her first National ADAPT Action in Atlanta, Georgia; a pivotal moment that ignited her passion to advocate and fight for the rights of people with disabilities.
